The Mariposa Residential Program provides housing, medical services, case management, and drug rehabilitation services to pregnant/post-partum women and their infants.

Through collaborative efforts with the New Mexico Department of Health and the University of New Mexico, the Department of Substance Abuse Programs operates the eight-bed Residential Program on the Metropolitan Assessment and Treatment Services campus.

The program serves women in the community, as well as women transitioning from the Metropolitan Detention Center. To be considered for the program, an application must be completed and submitted to the Department of Substance Abuse Programs.

Admissions to the program are based on a joint decision from the University of New Mexico, the New Mexico Department of Health and Department of Substance Abuse Programs to ensure all aspects of care needs are met.
