Commissioner Hart Stebbins Receives Arthur A. Blumenfeld Endowed Lecture Series Award

The UNM School of Public Administration presented Commissioner Maggie Hart Stebbins with the 13th Annual Arthur A. Blumenfeld Endowed Lecture Series Award at a dinner on November 2, 2015.

The Arthur A. Blumenfeld Endowed Lecture Series honors the life and work of Art Blumenfeld, former national president of the Government Finance Officers Association and former Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Albuquerque. Art was dedicated to furthering best practices in public finance and one of the missions of the Blumenfeld Lecture Series is to facilitate excellence in public administration and finance.

The Arthur A. Blumenfeld Endowed Lecture Series is conducted through the University of New Mexico Foundation and is overseen by the School of Public Administration.

  • Commissioner Maggie Hart Stebbins would like to invite you to her next monthly neighborhood luncheon on Wednesday, June 27 from noon to 1 p.m. at Keshet Dance & Center for the Arts, 4121 Cutler Ave. NE. Please note the new location and date! Our speaker in June will be Natalie Donnelly, Community Food Projects Manager ~ Presbyterian Center for Community Health. The Presbyterian Center for Community Health focuses on three priorities for keeping our community healthy ~ healthy eating, active living and prevention of unhealthy substance abuse. Natalie will discuss the many programs ~ including: Light the District, Healthy Here Mobile Farmers’ Market, SNAP Double Up Food Bucks, WIC & Senior Nutrition Programs, Prescription Trails ~ that Community Health supports. She will also discuss the Albuquerque food desert and how the community farmers’ markets contribute to the local economy. Before or after the luncheon, please take the time to see how Keshet has grown and thrived over the years. Also walk around this neighborhood and see how it is becoming a mid-heights destination site. This is a Brown Bag Luncheon – you bring a sandwich and we will provide the beverages.
