Commissioner Talbert Speaks at Innovate ABQ Event

08/30/2017

Innovate ABQ held a ribbon-cutting for the new Lobo Rainforest building Friday.

District 4 Bernalillo County Commissioner and Innovate ABQ board member Lonnie Talbert spoke at the event.

BernCo contributed $1 million for the development of the business incubator at Innovate ABQ.

The University of New Mexico Rainforest Building is a 159,000-square-foot, six-story building on Broadway Blvd that will house students, scientists and entrepreneurs.

With the partnership between Innovate ABQ, UNM, the City of Albuquerque, Central New Mexico Community College, Bernalillo County and Nusenda Credit Union we were able to make this happen.

“Leadership and courage was demonstrated in all facets of this successful public/private partnership project,” said Commissioner Talbert.
