Human Resources

The Human Resources Labor Relations section is involved in the daily relationship between its employees and the county, and with each other.

 

We provide support to the county manager, commissioners, administrators, managers, supervisors and employees.

We also work closely with a decision-making panel to rectify disciplinary issues involving employees who are not in compliance with the county’s rules and regulations.

Our responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring equal employment opportunities
  • Ensuring fairness and consistency in the treatment of employees
  • Promoting effective communication between management and employees
  • Ensuring documentation of employment actions
  • Providing record keeping as required by law and practice
  • Ensuring complaint resolution process
  • Offering managerial and employee training

The Labor Relations section also works with unions and local bargaining units, negotiating contracts on behalf of the county, and also handles employee grievances.
