Early Voting Convenience Centers Are Open Today

10/27/2020

Bernalillo County Clerk Linda Stover confirms that early voting convenience centers are open and operating on a regular schedule today.

“Thanks to dedicated poll officials and staff, Bernalillo County early voting convenience centers are open today and on a regular schedule,” says Clerk Linda Stover. “At last report, 548 voters had already cast a ballot. Please check road conditions in your area and if it is safe, vote in-person or hand deliver your absentee ballot.”

17 early voting convenience centers are open through Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020. Most are open Mon. to Sat., 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The election is being conducted in accordance with a state public health emergency order designed to minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19 through in-person voting. Poll workers are wearing personal protective equipment and all voters should wear a mask and comply with social distancing protocols.

Early voting wait times have been highest between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. There has been little to no wait at most early voting convenience centers from 1 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 7 p.m. The Clerk’s Office is tweeting wait time updates on Twitter (@BernCoClerk).

Same Day Registration (SDR) is available at 7 early voting convenience centers in Bernalillo County through Saturday, Oct. 31. There will be no same day registration on Election Day.

Absentee voters may hand deliver their completed absentee ballot to any early voting or Election Day voting convenience center. There is also an absentee ballot drop box outside One Civic Plaza at 5th and Marquette available Mon. to Fri. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Election Day there will be a drive by absentee ballot drop off opportunity at 5th and Marquette from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
