Arts Board Solicits Artists for Conceptual Sketch Ideas for Animal Care Facility

06/01/2017

The Bernalillo County Arts Board solicits a call for artists to propose conceptual sketch ideas for the Animal Care Facility. The budget for the sculpture is $60,000.

The Animal Care Facility is being developed at 2nd Street and Woodward, near Rio Bravo Boulevard in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The future facility will house and serve dogs, cats, and livestock. The location for the sculpture is the 24' diameter landscape circle at the entrance of the building. The work could address the message of the happy relationship between people and animals, or adoption of animals, or of children with animals.

Artists residing in New Mexico are invited to apply. The deadline is August 4, 2017.

Please share this call for artists with anyone residing in New Mexico who may be interested!
