County Pools Open for Season Memorial Weekend


Bernalillo County swimming pools and the Alameda Spray Park will open Saturday, May 26 at noon.

Three of the county’s four pools, plus the spray park will open for the season providing a safe and enjoyable way to beat the New Mexico heat.

The South Valley Pool and Splash Pad will not open until sometime in July as construction continues on the splash pad and bath house.

A list of Pools and Spray Parks, with operating hours, are as follows:


Alameda Spray Park

Los Padillas Aquatic Center

Paradise Hills Pool and Water Slide

The outdoor pools and spray parks will close for the season on August 3. Swimming is year-round at Rio Grande indoor pool.

Contact each pool for information on swim lessons, swim team, water aerobics and pool rentals in the morning or evening.
