Los Vecinos Community Center Whole Life Renovation

A series of building improvements are proposed to remedy existing structural and programming issues with the current configuration of the center and to enable the center to have whole life functionality. The improvements will include a significant renovation, with the oldest portions of the existing building being demolished and reconstructed with the addition of a second story to provide opportunities for better lighting, more sustainable building heating and cooling systems and views of the Sandia Mountains. The new building is planned to have a game room, a health resources area, a lobby and a flexible, multi-purpose meeting room space.
