Bernalillo County and Other Partners to Offer Uber Rides for Fourth of July Holiday

Bernalillo County and the New Mexico Department of Transportation are joining with Uber and Cumulus Media to offer patrons 400 free or low-cost Uber rides during the Fourth of July holiday.

Patrons need to download the Uber app to their phones and enter the code ABQUSA18. Rides will be available from Tuesday, July 3 beginning at noon through Thursday, July 5 ending at 4 a.m.

By using the code, riders will receive a credit of up to $10. The maximum amount of trips available is 400. First come, first served. The credit can only be used for rides, not Uber Eats, and the discount does not cover tip.

BernCo, Cumulus Media Albuquerque, Uber, and ENDWI encourage residents to take advantage of this program. Through this incredible public-private partnership, it’s easier than ever to avoid driving under the influence. Since its inception a little over a year ago, “Take A Ride on us has provided a safe ride option to over 5,000 riders in the Albuquerque Metro area.

By drinking responsibly and using the “Take a Ride on Us” program, together we can ENDWI.
