Major Workforce Housing Development Opens

02/27/2018

Bernalillo County – The latest housing project, a $19.4 million, 240-unit apartment complex, built using county authorized Project Revenue Bonds, (PRB) opened on Albuquerque’s West Side.

The Village at Avalon is a workforce housing complex for the Albuquerque community. The project is located near Los Volcanes Road and 90th Street NW.

“Bernalillo County is once again taking the lead in providing residents with more affordable housing,” Commissioner Debbie O’Malley says. “This is just the latest in a series of projects to create housing that benefits Albuquerque area families.”

This is the eighth Bernalillo County-supported housing development since 2012.

Additionally, the Bernalillo County Commission has supported 47 projects that have created more than 3,676 new jobs and more than $768 million in new private investment activity.
