Bernalillo County has again kept its triple-A ratings on its general obligation bonds, the highest possible given by Moody’s, Fitch and Standard and Poor’s, the nation’s top three credit rating agencies.

The Bernalillo County Commission this evening voted to stabilize basic public services and raise the gross receipts tax rate in the city limits from 7.3125 to 7.5 percent. For the unincorporated areas of the county, the gross receipts tax rate will go from 6.25 to 6.4375 percent.

The increase equals 18.75 cents per $100 of spending.
