Bernalillo County – Commissioner Wayne Johnson is pleased to announce BernCo’s “Bolster Your Business with Contracts from the Government, Educational Institutions and the Military,” a free seminar aimed at helping small businesses learn more about these types of contracts available in our community.

Small business owners, entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders are invited to understand more about the ins and outs of successful bidding on these kinds of contracts, and how to service them.

“Federal, state and local government contracts present excellent opportunities for small businesses throughout Albuquerque and Bernalillo County,” Commissioner Wayne Johnson says. “This summit is a great opportunity for local businesses to connect with our partners at Kirtland Air Force Base, Sandia National Laboratories and others.”

The summit, “Bolster Your Business with Contracts from the Government, Educational Institutions and the Military,” is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 26 at the African American Performing Arts Center, 310 San Pedro Drive NE.­­­

Registration starts at 7 a.m. with continental breakfast and the program begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. The summit features a panel discussion with successful, local contractors followed by networking in the exhibit hall with procurement vendors.

This free Bolster Your Business Summit is sponsored by Commissioner Wayne Johnson and coordinated by Bernalillo County’s Economic Development Department. Bernalillo County offers small business support and educational seminars throughout the year as part of its mission to help local firms thrive and succeed.
