Bernalillo County - The Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office has partnered with National Voter Registration Day 2017. Join us in celebrating National Voter Registration Day by coming out to the first annual Be the Vote Voter Registration Drive in Albuquerque’s Civic Plaza TOMORROW. Come register to vote, update your voter registration or just enjoy the food trucks, music and participant’s booths .

County Clerk Linda Stover supports the mission of National Voter Registration Day, “National Voter Registration Day is a day of civic unity. It’s an opportunity to set aside differences and celebrate democracy and the rights and opportunities we all share as Americans. Millions of voters need to register and re-register every year. By utilizing new technology and leveraging partners, we’ll educate Americans in all 50 states about how to register, sign up for election reminders, check their registration online, get mail ballots, learn about early voting and more.”

Tomorrow Americans across the nation will celebrate National Voter Registration Day, which was first observed in 2012 and has been growing in popularity every year since. The holiday has been endorsed by the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS). It is further supported by the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED). There are hundreds of local, state and national organizations that are the driving forces behind National Voter Registration Day, and partner organizations help to coordinate thousands of public events to bring awareness to ballot initiatives, local elections, and voter registration.

Participants of the Be the Vote Voter Registration Drive include, ASUNM, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department, the Bernalillo County Assessor’s Office, the Bernalillo County Fire Department, and Bernalillo County MDC. For more information, see flier attached or below.
