The Employee Wellness Act, also known as the Paid Time Off ordinance, is a legal requirement approved by the Bernalillo County Commission directing employers, with two or more employees, to offer paid time off to those employees. 

The ordinance outlines the amount of paid time off that must be accrued for each employee, based on the number of employees working within the business.  The Employee Wellness Act will takes effect Oct. 1, 2020.
