Campus Services

Substance Abuse Services offered by the Department of Behavioral Health Services provides a variety of programs to reduce the impact of alcoholism, alcohol abuse, drug dependence and drug abuse within the community. The goal is to make Bernalillo County a safe place to live and work. Clients from all walks of life participate in the variety or programs and services offered, including:  Public Inebriate Intervention Programs, Detoxification from Alcohol and Substance Abuse, the Supportive Aftercare Program, the Addiction Treatment Program, the Mariposa Residential Program, and Renee’s Project.

All of the programs seek to provide services to individuals in need of financial assistance and intensive care, as such all of the programs are available on a sliding scale or for free.

    • Free for adults 50+ every third Wednesday of the month! Book club participants collectively select the reading list, and all books and audios are on loan to participants. Call (505) 281-8003 or (505) 288-2507 for more information. Whispering Pines has a Lending Library. Seniors interested in borrowing a large print fiction book from the library can check one out for free. New titles are available every 2-3 months.
